Miami Law Mindfulness in Law Program

Miami Law has integrated numerous course offerings into its curriculum. The below list of course offerings are among the first in the country to integrate mindfulness into course material and the classroom.
Mindfulness in Law: (LAW 153A) offers students an introduction to mindfulness across a variety of substantive and procedural areas of law including trial practice, mediation, negotiation, and judicial decision-making. Mindful Ethics (LAW 408) offers students an introduction to mindfulness and its application in the context of professional responsibility and ethical decision making. This course was co-developed and is taught by Scott Rogers, Founder and Director of the Mindfulness in Law Program and Jan Jacobowitz, Director of the Professional Responsibility and Ethics Program. Mindfulness & Negotiation (LAW 796A) offers students an introduction to mindfulness and negotiation. This course was co-developed and is taught by Professors Scott Rogers and Harley Tropin.
Mindfulness & Motivating Business Compliance with the Law (LAW 658) offers students an exploration of mindfulness, ethics, and corporate compliance. This course was co-developed and is taught by Professors Robert Rosen and Scott Rogers.
Mindfulness & Leadership (LAW 197A) offers students an introduction to mindful leadership, a rapidly growing areas in the field of business, law, and government. This course was co-developed and is taught by Scott Rogers, Founder and Director of the Mindfulness in Law Program and Raquel Matas, Associate Dean for Administration and Counsel to the Dean at the University of Miami School of Law. Other courses that have infused mindfulness into the classroom are the Health Rights Clinic, the Children & Youth Law Clinic, the Immigration Clinic , the Human Rights Clinic, Mediation classes, and Legal Communication and Research Skills. Mindfulness has also been introduced into to the Post Graduate Student Service Fellows Program, the Academic Achievement Program, and Miami Law Legal Corps.
