Since 2008, Jurisight has become an important and memorable part of the law school experience for hundreds of law students. Classes meet once a week and introduce students to mindfulness insights and exercises in the context of their law school experience. This groundbreaking class integrates contemplative practices with cutting-edge neuroscience research to share with students ways of optimizing performance and reducing stress.

Jurisight was developed and is taught by Scott Rogers, founder and director of the Mindfulness in Law Program, and a national leader and proponent of the integration of mindfulness into the law school curriculum.

Professor Rogers is the author of "Mindfulness for Law Students," which is used in law school across the country. Students receive a free copy on the first day of Jurisight.

Jurisight is offered each Fall semester.

Imagine an oasis. Cool water and palm trees swaying in the breeze. You enter and stress and tension melt away. You breathe easy and your body relaxes. Ahhh. But unlike your typical oasis, each time you leave this one, you change. The oasis becomes a part of you. You walk outside and see water and palm trees swaying in the breeze. But you really see them. Your mind is sharper. You are alert and focused. You are attuned to the present moment like never before. And you are ready for whatever comes your way.

You walk into your classes and something is different. You're more curious and less worried, less tense. You are more on your game. The thrill you felt when you were accepted into law school is right there with you. You're inspired, courageous, and confident. And even when you're not, you're surprisingly okay with it.
